Preparing for your boudoir photoshoot is part of the magic. It’s the time when excitement builds, confidence blooms, and you start to see yourself in a new light. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, gifting your images, or simply doing this for you—a little preparation can make your experience feel effortless and empowering.

Nails That Make a Statement

Your hands and feet often appear in your images, so treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure before your session. Whether you love a natural blush tone or a bold red, polished nails always complete your look beautifully.

Brows & Hair Prep

Freshly shaped brows and a soft trim can make all the difference.
If you color your hair, plan to refresh it a few days before your shoot for that healthy, radiant glow.

Skin Care & Facial Prep

Keep your skincare routine gentle in the days before your shoot.
Avoid strong exfoliants or AHA/BHA products within three days — they can cause redness or peeling.
Hydration is your best friend for that dewy, camera-ready skin

Avoid Sun Exposure

As tempting as a tan may be, it’s best to stay out of the sun before your shoot.
Tan lines and burns can distract from your natural glow, and your skin tone photographs beautifully just as it is.

Waxing Tips

If waxing is part of your routine, schedule it a few days before your session.
This gives your skin time to recover and look smooth — not irritated — on camera.

To Tan or Not to Tan

Your natural tone always looks stunning in photographs.
If you’re a spray-tan regular and know what works for you, go for it — otherwise, it’s best to skip it for your session.

Tattoos & Retouching

Prefer not to show a tattoo? Bring wardrobe pieces that can cover it tastefully.
Retouching for tattoos or tan lines is available as an optional add-on.

Shoes & Accessories

Don’t forget to wipe the soles of your shoes — they may appear in some shots!
Accessories like perfume bottles, hats, pearls, or your favorite lipstick can add a beautiful personal touch.

On Your Period? No Problem.

No need to reschedule.
We keep complimentary products on hand, and gentle retouching can smooth any temporary blemishes or bloating.
You’ll still look incredible — promise.

Your session is about you.
Your confidence, your beauty, your story.
Take a deep breath, trust the process, and know that you’ll be guided every step of the way.
