This Studio, This Gratitude

Some mornings begin with intention.
Others begin with remembering.

This morning, with a cup of coffee in hand, the fire softly glowing, and my cat quietly watching the flames, I found myself trying to recall an affirmation of gratitude for my studio. The words didn’t come the way I expected them to.

And then a gentler voice said, just say it from the heart.

So I did.

I thought about how grateful I am for this studio—a place designed for unhurried work and thoughtful creation. A space that feels calm, grounded, and quietly beautiful. A place where creation happens slowly, intentionally, and with care.

I thought about the women who walk through the door.

About the moment when something shifts—when they see themselves differently, sometimes for the very first time. About how one photograph can linger with them, now or years from now, becoming more than an image. Becoming a reminder.

This work is an exchange,
and the deeper gift is the one I give freely—
helping women recognize their own beauty, strength, and worth.

That is why this studio matters.

It isn’t just where photographs are made.
It’s where something meaningful begins.
